About me

CORONAVIRUS: i'm CONFINED since the 17th March !!!
Deconfined since the 11th May !!

It seems that the purge is in progress on Listal...
Specially about profile lists (i choose "public", Listal prefers "private", wtf?!).
"Private - Will not be listed anywhere and cannot be accessed by other members" : NO F.....' SENSE. Just tell me why doing lists in this case?!
Am i the only member to be disturbed by this ???
Everybody may stop posting lists with butts and boobs : just waste of time and you won't get any vote... (cause Listal will put'em on "private"!)
Just want to know which members request to lock some profiles (Stormi Maya for example - she's not a pornstar okay?!). Some members have really nothing to do...

Obviously, there is no need to constantly refer to Richard Matheson's literary masterpiece to appreciate this free adaptation of Boris Sagal. "The Omega Man" is nothing more than an excellent B-movie of old-fashioned S-F. Still breathtaking almost 50 years later. With a legend named Charlton Heston.

This japanese animated is so funny, so naughty, so kinky but...a little too perverse for the moderators of Listal. Come on guys! Let it go for a while...

Franklyn review

Posted : 10 months, 1 week ago on 14 December 2019 02:18 (A review of Franklyn)

A work quite elusive and unclassifiable as this strange "Franklyn". We could risk placing it at the crossroads of a "Dark City", a "Watchmen" or even a "Brazil". In vain because the film by Gerald McMorrow (unknown to the battalion) ultimately belongs only to himself. It is in a way a beautiful object that is both singular and fascinating, sometimes sparkling, sometimes exhausting. You can love it while being a bit annoyed, or hate it while recognizing it with real narrative and aesthetic qualities. Place your bets! I vote for (and not just because I'm crazy in love with Eva Green, huh?).

Keoma review

Posted : 10 months, 2 weeks ago on 8 December 2019 04:59 (A review of Keoma)

Anyone who appreciates the sublimated westerns of the two great Sergio (Leone and Corbucci) will enjoy this jubilant "Keoma", probably the best achievement of Castellari (a great Italian bis maker often underestimated). Stoked with derision, brilliantly filmed, uninhibited and rather atypical, this film really doesn't demerit alongside the most illustrious representatives of the genre (do not talk to me about pasta or I make a misfortune ...). Franco Nero is flamboyant (I love this guy!) And we find with pleasure the beautiful Olga Karlatos (seen in "Gloria Mundi" and "Zombi 2"). In short a beautiful crepuscular western that makes me say that, frankly, the 70's were something anyway ...

The Endless review

Posted : 10 months, 2 weeks ago on 5 December 2019 03:20 (A review of The Endless)

David Lynch would probably have enjoyed the script of the pair Benson / Moorhead. Difficult to write on this very sensory film that could be likened to a long episode of "The Twilight Zone" to which it would have integrated some narrative Lynch codes. By successive keys as the story unfolds, we feel as oppressed, trapped by an anxiety atmosphere close to pure terror. Cause that's what Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have done brilliantly : make us feel the unspeakable and ultimately the fright, the real. With a lot of resources, some people make shit; with less budget, imagination and a bold note of intent, others make art.

Rats - Notte di terrore (1984) review

Posted : 10 months, 3 weeks ago on 2 December 2019 02:07 (A review of Rats - Notte di terrore (1984))

Attention post-apo well Z. On the basis of a closed camera made of dialogues that a donkey would refuse to recite and situations of a delightful madness, Bruno Mattéi (sorry: Vincent Dawn) raises the Z to the rank of intellectual art because, frankly, it takes daring and nerve to make a z-movie so cult, funny and naughty, thanks to its repulsive rats, somehow manages to create fear. Or how to give birth, with rickety means but a totally overwhelming end, of a work willy-nilly unforgettable.

Vampyres (1974) review

Posted : 10 months, 3 weeks ago on 1 December 2019 06:57 (A review of Vampyres (1974))

All the ingredients are there to make José Ramón Larraz's unappreciated "Vampyres" a feverish ode to the glory of the vampire movie version BIS: gloomy atmosphere, sublime vampire women (the brunette is to die for), sinister settings, music in tune, sublime vampire women, nudity without complex, nice gore scenes and enough striking for this time, sublime vampire women and ... sublime .. .(ok I'll stop!). It's like as the saying goes the cream of the cream of the European 70's bis, well above a Jean Rollin or a Jess Franco, with also few means but a staging that has nothing to envy the best movies of the Hammer (yes yes!).
With no doubt, to bring closer to the no less brilliant "The Red Lips" of Harry Kumel. The top of the top in short..

I Still See You review

Posted : 11 months, 1 week ago on 17 November 2019 03:24 (A review of I Still See You)

Nice little surprise that this nice DTV who deserved a release cine by us rather than the infamous anonymity and not always deserved, reserved for this kind of film. Quite original, well-conducted story that goes to the basics and a Bella Thorne amazing sobriety, briefly a fantastic B series unpretentious that rises above the average of the genre. I validate!

Bad movie (as awful as the two main actors...) to watch only for the very attractive Katya Wyeth (who deserved a better career).
